Stylish and Ecofriendly Mountain biking apparel from Dincus

Having ridden my bike for several years now I've come to realize that the general consensus amongst mountain bikers is that it's pretty much just as important to look good on your bike as it is to feel good on your bike. That being said, there are still those practical people out there who place a higher priority on functionality and comfort rather than style.
Dincus Apparel, an "extreme and eco-friendly" clothing company based out of Squamish BC, has managed to combine both style and comfort so no matter what your preference, you're always looking as good as you feel!
The company was first born 5 years ago with the production of 50 t-shirts and 3 jerseys by Squamish resident Chad Hendren and his friend Greg Thompson, and has since grown to include a competitive line of both casual and mountain biking apparel for men and women.
With the use of a professional designer, the clothes have become known for their unique style and bold fashion statements.
2010 will see the company expand even more, with a greater selection of clothes as well as a new line of outerwear aimed at freeskiers.
So what makes Dincus Apparel a cut above the rest? Not only is it stylish and functional - "made by riders for riders" - it is environmentally friendly. Instead of using regular cotton blends,
Dincus is leading the way in the apparel industry by using an organic blend of bamboo, a renewable resource that is incredibly soft to touch, holds water-based inks well, and contains 'kun', a antimicrobial bio-agent that contains natural antibacterial, antifungal and odor-resistant preperties. That means you can wear your Dincus socks again and again, and yes again before washing them.
Hendren, a sponsored biker and skiier himself, has been working hard to promote the goods in stores and on the trails. Dincus now has distributors across B.C., in Alberta, the U.S., Europe, and Japan. As well, they are supporting a number of athletes including Miranda Miller, JS Therrien, James McSkimming, Kyle Thomas, Sami Kennedy, Adam Mantle, Paul Stevens, Matty Richard, Dan Flahr, Beth Parson, and myself.
Looking good, feeling good, and being good to the environment. Dincus has covered their bases and is well on their way to hitting a home run in the apparel industry.
