OLYMPIC PREPARATION FUND
The Canadian Cycling Association has set up a trust fund to directly benefit Canadian cycling athletes to fulfill their Olympic dreams.
This fund was established with seed money from the Canadian Olympic Association and it is the intention of Canadian Cycling to continue to grow this fund through a public appeal for donations. These funds in trust directly benefit aspiring athletes who are identified as potential Olympic cycling team members.
The athletes are selected from our grassroots network of talent identification, in collaboration with our Provincial Cycling Association partners and National Team Coaches, and a formal application for financial assistance is sought and approved by the Board of Directors.
This process allows funding to directly reach aspiring athletes, to offset direct Olympic preparation activities such as training, attendance at specific competitions or improved equipment.
